The Plaza New York

OVERVIEW

Since it first opened in 1907, the Plaza New York hotel has become a landmark in its own right – representing the pinnacle of New York City hospitality and hosting the highest echelons of society from world leaders to stars of screen and stage. But even with such a storied history, the Plaza had to adapt to changing times.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Their antiquated 2D diagram system did not have the functionality for clients to properly visualize their event in a way that would persuade them to choose the Plaza.
  • Their ability to showcase the grandeur of their spaces was hindered by photographs or required an in-person site visit, which slowed the selling process.
  • Even for in-person site visits, the spaces could only be shown as-is, not how they could be.

THE SOLUTION

  • The Prismm platform enables clients to view and select their space remotely, enabling the Plaza to realize incremental revenue streams.
  • The event planning tools resulted in a significant reduction in time spent diagramming, iterating, and managing floorplans, thereby reducing labor costs per event, and increasing the total number of events that can be managed.
